Why haven't I seen any results to my efforts to lose weight?

In an effort to lose weight fast, I went on a very strict diet. After a while, I found that not only had I gained weight, but I had some adverse side-effects. My face looked tired, I had dark circles under my eyes and my hair became brittle. Why did this happen?

 

Analysis: Extreme dieting robs your body of nutrition and hydration. After a while, your body will pull what it needs from your organs and vital tissues, which robs your hair and skin of their nutrients. Your body goes into survival mode and begins hoarding energy in the form of fat so you appear to gain weight.
