Method 12: Nuts and milk for weight-loss

 

Case

Name: Henry. 175 lbs at age of 12, now he is 120 lbs.

In the past, I would order a Domino pizza and eat it myself or I would eat a whole bag of Cheetos as I watched TV. What I did was just sitting on the sofa and gaining weight. It was a tragedy. My mother took me to therapy. Since then, milk and nuts became a part of the my diet. I had an old styled nutcracker and a bag of mixture shelled nuts. My doctor said when I needed to crack the nuts in order to eat, it would decelerate my eating speed. It is fun to crack the nuts, but more importantly, my weight dropped a lot.

Principle of weight loss

In the effort to get rid of the annoying trans fat snacks, try to eat lots of nuts, such as almonds, pecans or walnuts. The nuts and seeds can meet all our nutritional needs (best choice: almonds and walnuts). In addition, they help prevent heart disease, diabetes and inflammation. Many worry about the fat and calories in the nuts. It is not reasonable. Research shows that people eat nuts twice a week will increase weight much slowly than those who do not eat nuts. For example, pine seeds can stimulate the production of satiety hormone CCK in the intestines, so it is beneficial to prevent hunger.

More and more data explains that the calcium in dairy products plays a key role in the process of weight control (best choice: organic low-fat plain flavored yogurt).Even a small calcium deficiency can change the fat burning signal in cells and inhibit metabolism. Dairy products of grass fed animals contain saturated animal fat and trans fat, but they also contain the best types of fat: conjugated linoleic acid, also known as the CLA. It is proven that CLA can improve body composition and help to expel the fat out of adipose tissue, making the fat easier to burn. Surprisingly, the zinc in dairy products also helps improve the level of leptin to suppress the appetite. Most of the dairy products have added Vitamin D, which facilitates the absorption of calcium by the body.

How do we eat the nuts and milk?

Eat raw nuts as much as possible; before eating flax seed, crush it, or else it will not be absorbed directly through the digestive tract. Crushed flax seed should be stored in the refrigerator to prevent oxidation; sprinkled some crushed almonds in yogurt can be a great treat; note the quantity of nuts at times, for although they are healthy food, they still contain high levels of calories.

Drink pure milk; do not drink chocolate milk or other flavored milk; keep away from soy milk; gradually leave sugar yogurt.
