Fasting Precautions
If you never have tried fasting, it will take time to adjust. So never try to force yourself! You can drink some nutritious lettuce juice or fruit juice with high fiber content to clean and rest the intestines. Once your body has adjusted to that, continue with the fasting therapy.
- a) Yogurt
The solid foods cause satiety. Yoghurt is solid so drinking yogurt is like eating, which is better for drinking juices. Drinking soy milk or vegetable juice can provide nutrition while fasting. Drink carbonated water to ease the feeling of empty stomach.
- b)Vegetable juices
Vegetable juices can purify the blood.. Carrots and other fruits and vegetables are rich in minerals and vitamins. Combining these two together can promote gastrointestinal motility. With them, you need not worry about low blood sugar or anemia due to fasting.
- c) Barley tea and other green juices
These drinks are of low calories and high in fiber, which helps clean the intestines. Green juices contain a lot of vitamins and minerals that improve gastrointestinal motility. They are also low in calories which makes them a good choice for losing weight.
